The Celestial Archive
At its heart, The Celestial Archive is a history project blending art with the stories that fill our night sky. Discover hand-painted watercolour constellations, paired with carefully researched History Notes telling the stories behind each one.
Whether they were born from the depths of ancient civilisations, or recorded as recently as the 17th century, my aim is that you’ll leave with a fresh appreciation for the immense history we sleep under every night.
Through The Reading Room, I share researched historical articles, while the shop offers original artworks, prints, pocket constellations, and Keep & Frame greeting cards – art designed to be both meaningful and enduring.
One of my favourite things about the work I do at The Celestial Archive is how much research goes into learning about the stories that sit above our heads. If you’re looking at the constellations through the lens of Ancient Greece, you’ll encounter tales of heroes, monsters, and the complicate – and often brutal – relationships between gods and mortals. But dig a little deeper and you soon begin to realise those romanticised myths are laced with something much darker.
